When you create a table in Excel, Excel gives it a default name such as Table 1, Table 2, and so on. However, you want to be able to easily identify a specific table when you want to work with it. You will need to rename table in excel.
You can rename a table to anything you can understand and easily identify. This way, when you want to work with the table later, it can be easily identified.
To rename a table in excel worksheet, follow these simple steps:
1. Select a cell in the table
2. Click on the ‘Design’ tab
3. At the far end on the left of the Ribbon, click inside the ‘Table Name’ field under the ‘Properties’ section to select the existing name
4. Then type the new name that you want for the table
5. Press Enter
